I loved the look of this lamp as soon as I saw it. It's simple and modern and seemed like just the right size to put next to my bed. I also liked the idea of being able to turn it on with touch controls rather than having to search for a switch. I've found that rechargeable lamps work best where really bright light isn't critical and also where they won't be used for long stretches at a time so my feeling is this is better for a nightstand or a table than it is for a desk. The touch controls are a bit challenging to figure out, but the lamp can be turned on and off, the warmth of the light can be adjusted and the brightness can be increased or dimmed with a few simple gestures. It's a great lamp to add a bit of atmosphere or to maneuver around the room without the bright overhead light. Since it has a battery, it can actually be used outside for dinner without having to worry about plugging it in. While that is a very nice attribute, I have recently acquired a lot of rechargeable battery operated devices and find the continued need to keep things charged, especially items that are used daily, somewhat of a chore.
When it’s light works, it is fabulous! Portable and just the right amount of light for a small area. Problem is, it seems to have a mind of its own! Turns on by itself, or won’t turn on when touched. The jury is still out, but I’ll likely get a replacement and see if it’s better the second time around.
Overall, I think this is an excellent lamp. It's rechargeable using USB-C, it has warm, cold, and mixed light modes - on top of that it's a touch sensor and it's dimmable. I know there was a review complaining that the light was too dim, but if you keep pressing the top, you can dim/brighten the light. The finish is a nice brass/gold color. I've dinged it one star because you need to use the charging cable (USB-A to USB-C) in the box to charge the lamp. I tried using my MacBook's USB-C cable and the lamp refused to charge.
This is really good quality well-made lamp. It's fully metal and the bottom is covered with rubber. It came very nicely packaged as well (no styrofoam). Holding this product in your hands really conveys very good workmanship. It has 3 light modes: yellow light, white light and mixed. The light could have been brighter but it's acceptable for a cozy desk and nightstand. At this price ($35), I think this is a very good purchase.
It's not going to brighten up your whole room but it's a good looking piece of decor for your table and a lamp when you need it.The touch sensors could be a little more sensitive, and it's odd that the sensors are placed around the ring rather than the middle.Not the brightest lamp out there, but it looks great and it's rechargeable or corded however you want it. I like the minimalistic look.
